Strawberry Banana Tart

Strawberry Banana Tart

1/2 Cup Walnuts

1/2 Cup Sunflower seeds

Bit of Honey

2 Spoonfuls of water

1 Banana

1 lb Strawberries

Forming the crust: We put the Walnuts in a ziplock bag and mashed them to tiny bits with my handy-dandy hammer. Then took the sunflower seeds and put them in a coffee grinder and obliterated them to dust. Then we added the two nuts together in a bowl and added honey and a bit of water untill it was the consistency of gram cracker crust. We then mashed to to the bottom of a pie tin.

Next is the fruit: We took about 1/4 of the strawberries and processed them in the food processor with the "S" shaped blade. Then I quartered the rest of the strawberries, removing the stems and placed them ontop of the crust. Then we cut up a banana and dispersed it across the tart.

Finishing: We took the strawberry puree and poured it over the tart. Had to use a spoon to serve it, but thats a small price to pay for delicious!

We got bored and calculated the calories. It's about 1224 calories if you sat down to demolish the whole thing... so about 150 per serving.
